I don't know if this little creature is ugly or beautiful...
but, no doubt, it's all in the eyes of the beholder.

Regardless, God created this creature that runs on eight legs...
looking a lot like an double sized spider.
They are rather comical to watch when running for dear life.
Let me tell you, can they run.
One minute, you see a crab...the next, it's disappeared into it's hole so fast, one wonders if it was really there at all.

I love how they bring up their scissor-like claws when backed into a corner...
opening up their claws to look as menacing as possible...
hoping to fend off the attacker.
My dogs think they are for chasing.
After the dogs have had their little momentary fun,
I take pity...
it's time to quit and let the crab run for life for it's hole.
This one got caught inside the house.
I scooped it into a pail and gently put it down by the cliff.
No doubt, it was grateful to be back outside.
