Let the Field be Joyful...

Whenever we walk the dogs...
the Psalms come into mind on how the heavens and earth declare the glory and righteousness of God.

We love the walks...
passing by the old mango trees that still bear fruit...
seeing the wonders of God in creation.

We pass by our cow, grazing along the roadside...
and stop to look at a hillside scene across the valley.

We pass some peacefully grazing sheep...
cautiously keeping Shadow a distance from them...
he still needs to get used to livestock.

"Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein:
then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice"
Psalm 96:12

Taking a path off the road...
we come through emerald woods...

leading deeper into rainforest filled with birds and flowers

"In His hand are the deep places of the earth:
the strength of the hills is His also."
Psalm 95:4

We travel a path lined with bamboo that have dropped a carpet of
leaves along the way...
they hang over the paths, giving us cool shade from the sun's brightness.

"The sea is His, and He made it:
and His hands formed the dry land."
Psalm 95:5

We walk till we come to our little river below the farm...
where the dogs quench their thirst and wade to cool their bodies.

This little river is beautifully covered with canopies of trees and bamboos...
keeping the water and breezes refreshingly cool.

"Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it:
Thou greatly enriches it with the river of God,
which is full of water..."
Psalm 65:9

We come from out of the woods and into open fields full of sunshine...

and head back down the green, green road to home

"Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth:
let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad..."
"...for He cometh, for He cometh to judge the earth:
He shall judge the world with righteousness,
and the people with His truth."
Psalms 95:10-13

May the Lord by His mercy lead you today.
