White as Cotton...

White is a favorite color of mine...
and cotton is my favorite textile

combine the two and it's better than a piece of gold for me
the cotton plants in my potager has held up well
no bugs or diseases

the flowers are beautiful
turning from creamy white
to a white and pink combo

to full blown pink

then, the flowers dry and drop off...
and the cotton starts to form inside a pod

as the cotton grows
the pod loses it's pink speckels
turning into a green, firm haven for the vulnerable white, soft fruit

as the cotton matures
the pod turns brown and dries
breaking the petals apart

letting the cotton push it's way out
and when it's starts to fluff
it's time to harvest

due to the rains, I harvest mine before the cotton is fully fluffed outside the pod
to keep the cotton from becoming wet
I clean the cotton of it's seed and any bit of debris
and fluff it into soft cottonballs
the seeds will be replanted
with all the cotton my six little plants have been giving us
there has been no need to buy any from the store
and our own is
organic

"He that overcometh,
the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life,
but I will confess his name before my Father,
and before His angels."
Revelation 3:5

The "white raiment" spoken of in the verse refers to
the righteousness of Jesus Christ...
the only One who is truly righteous.
Blessed be the Lord!

May you know this day, or night, the purity of the Lord.
