A Puffball, a Cackle & a Sunset...

This little puffball is our newest

she is number 10 of the chicks hatched on Pilgrim's Farm

her mama, Kittie, is the first puffball of Pilgrim's Farm

but, I sneaked another hen's egg under her when she went broody and didn't lay any to sit on

why, hello there! little newest puffball

oops! nope, guess you aren't interested, little puffball

this puffball's real mama is Gurdle girl, who is cackling up a real noise...
a cackle that matches her funny looks

Gurdle, who is a rescue from an unhappy egg farm...
would like us all to know...

she has laid an egg

yeah, Gurdle girl...
you did good

and Foxie, just wanted to make sure there really is an egg under the bench

and because we do get some pretty nice sunsets...

this one from the night before...

I just couldn't pass up without the camera

love the colors

my God knows how to paint better than anyone

The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth His handywork.
Psalm 19:1

they do, indeed

and now, it's time to say good-night

May the Lord bless your day, or night with His grace.

Watching Pink...

Sometimes, a sunset is well worth standing back and watching...

as it slowly changes...

in color...

and texture

and as the pink intensity ebbs and fades away...

it is time to say "good-night"

*our Pilgrim's Farm sunset last Sunday*

and, the moon, not the least...
gave us a glowing report on it's silvery shine

this is Sovereign God's art in creation...
and isn't it lovely?

When I consider Thy heavens,
the work of Thy fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which Thou hast ordained;
What is man,
that Thou art mindful of him?
and the son of man,
that Thou visitest him?

Praise ye Him, sun and moon:
praise Him, all ye stars of light.

Psalm 8:3,4
Psalm 148:3

May you find grace in the Lord, this day or night.

Seaside Sunset...

on our little island...
with a tiny half moon high above

this is why...
I cannot believe in the "big bang" theory

Someone had to be there to bring it all into being

We all know that God alone can work such things as these

Of old hast Thou laid the foundation of the earth:
and the heavens are the work of Thy hands.
Psalm 102:25

May you find grace in the Lord.

Sunrise, Sunset over Pilgrim's Farm...

From the rising of the sun...

unto the going down of the same...

the Lord's name is to be praised.
The Lord is high above all nations,
and His glory above the heavens.
Psalm 113:3,4

Have a good day, or night.

The Color of Honey...

I promise you...
these photos have not been fixed
the camera managed to pick up these colors as they truly were at sunset

Sunday evening...
as the sun went down over the mountain...
I looked up...

and saw...
the color of honey
Pilgrim's Farm honey

if I hadn't been in so much awe of the sunset...
and had more presence of mind...
I would have taken the photo with the honey against the sky
but, you can see what I mean by the color of honey
it just so happened, the honey photo was taken just a couple hours earlier

The Lord has gone and done it, again
What a Supreme Artist!

May your day, or night be colored with the Lord's beauty.
