Missing Jack...

Have you ever had a pet that you loved so much...
it still hurts that he/she is gone?

gone two years and four months ago...
this little jack russel who filled my life with so much...
well, so much of everything...

is still sorely missed like it was yesterday

the Lord gave him to me for almost 7 years...
then, for His own good purpose...
took Jack away very suddenly

yes, Jackie boy...
you are the dog of my life...
and I cannot forget you

holding to Psalms 36:6

May your day, or night be filled with God's blessings.

  1. Jean,

This is my first visit to your sweet blog. I'll be returning. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet dog, Jack. We lost our cairn terrier, Buster, last December and I miss him everyday.

  2. Our Dawg Ditto is 12 and I can see him getting older.
I fear the day he goes.
    Condolences to you.

  3. This is so sweet. I am amazed at people who don't understand the purpose of dogs. I fully believe that they are simply God's sweet gift for companionship.

    Blessings, Debbie

  4. Oh how sweet your Jackie boy was. They say time heals all wounds, however, the person that wrote that must not have had dogs like our sweet angels that now run free in heaven. Blessings to you, my friend. And may Jack and my Sasha Belle find friendship in heaven with our wonderful Savior! We WILL see them again.

  5. Hi, Iknow how much you must miss Jack. we lost "wee Charlie", a Norwich terrier , eight years ago Christmas. I miss him every day. I believe the way to honor a dog's passing is to get another dog. However, it won't stop the hurt. "Wee Charlie" is not replaceable. my two mixed breed terriers keep me busy and they are very special but I long to see my wee man and I know that he is in heaven free from all pain and I will see him again.Isn't it a comfort to know that Jack is wating for you? From one islander to another have a great day.

  6. I have a Jack Russell who looks much like yours and she is just my best buddy. Losing a pet is never easy, but they add so much to our lives when they are here.

  7. I do relate. Our pets become a part of the family. They give so much unconditional love don't they. So sorry you are missing your sweet little friend.
