Close Call and King Nebuchadnezzar...

During the night, a tree branch fell and struck the corner of our newest beehive

it should have fallen right on top from where the branch broke...
but, it didn't

while we may call near perils or accidents, close calls...

there is no such thing with our God

in His might and power, the Lord's sovereignty reigns over all things
whether it be in incidents, accidents, unexpected events and even election outcomes...
the Lord God is ruling over all and bringing to pass all His good purposes...
for it is true...

And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing:
and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven,
and among the inhabitants of the earth:
and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him,
What doest Thou?
Daniel 4:35

and why should we worry over what is established by the Lord?

as the Lord said unto king Nebuchadnezzar...
that king of Babylon who thought he alone was ruler...

This is the interpretation, O king,
and this is the decree of the most High,
which is come upon my lord the king:

That they shall drive thee from men,
and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field,
and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen,
and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven,
and seven times shall pass over thee,
till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men,
and giveth it to whomsoever He will.

And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots;
thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee,
after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule.
Daniel 4:24-26

May the Lord bless your day or night with His grace.

  2. So glad your bee hive was spared. It is true what you said about the Lord being ruler over all.. I said the same thing on my blog. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and that is what is important.
    Blessings, Pam

  3. God may have a headache this morning, because he was standing there when that branch fell and bounced off his head, causing it to miss your hive.
