Behind the Peek...

Over the week...
and through the days...
as the moon was waning...

and the beehives were alive...

with the hum of honey bees...

and Foxie girl, snapped up and gagged on a maribone wasp...

and this little finch sparred with his own tiny image...

and I made gluten-free rum fruit cake...

the smooth-billed ani sat on her tuft to watch it all play out...

while Shadow boy, could not care less at the goings on...

Li'l Roo, Big Red's offspring, took to the tree and made some announcements...

which caught the attention of a few other chickens...

we have a new baby boy!
a goat kid, that is

who looks like his mama...

right down to the cow-lick...

mama

on the top of their heads

baby

a tiny bald spot that the Lord did put there

but, oh! mama loves her little baby with a sweet little kiss

and while goat kid was learning to romp...

who peaks out from behind mama hen?

while chick number two was still drying her down...

two! it is

and with a peak into the second box...
we have not one...

but, two wee chicks!
in all, that makes four puffball delights

now mamas and puffies are out from the coop...

and, Penny gives me a "back off" look...

while Millie is more tolerant of my closeness to her puffies...
it's all so tweet, tweet, tweet

and ho!
lo and behold!

we got more honey!
this comb I had all to myself

and with that bit of news from the Cottage on Pilgrim's Farm...
we bid you a good day, or night in the grace of God

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord?
who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints,
and to be had in reverence of all them that are about Him.
Psalm 89:6,7
